What will your contribution do?
All the money you donate will support the research work of the California Birth Defects Monitoring Program, a research partnership of the state of California and the March of Dimes. The Program is widely regarded as a leader in birth defects research and has published more than 200 studies evaluating environmental factors and birth defects.
Why should you contribute?
- Every 30 minutes another baby is born with a birth defect—more than 17,000 babies in California every year.
- All families are at risk—regardless of income or race/ethnicity.
- Birth defects are the leading cause of infant death and a major contributor to childhood illness and disability.
- Research is the key to unlocking causes and preventing birth defects in the future.
